I believe that memories deserve better than a photo stuck in our phone or external hard drive.

I started painting houses almost by accident.
My friend Gaia was selling the family home where her four siblings had grown up. Decades of gatherings, birthdays, a wedding... She wanted to give her mother something special. So I painted the patio from above - the one that had witnessed everything.
When her mother saw the portrait, she cried. First time Gaia had ever seen her cry.

That's how I realized : it's not "just" a house. It's a piece of our life, an anchor, a part of us that we can hold in our hands.
Especially when we live far from home.
And it is a pity to leave it on a picture stuck in our phone.

As an expat in Basel, I know what Heimweh feels like. So I paint houses - the ones we left behind, the ones where we grew up, the ones we miss - to create a bridge between where we come from and where we are now.

How does it work?

Via email, WhatsApp or Instagram. Don't have the perfect photo? No worries - I also work from Google Street View, or I recreate from multiple photos. We'll always find a solution!
2. I create your portrait
Hand-made, in black & white or color (your choice). A4 format for easy framing. Allow 5-10 days.
3. I deliver by bike 🚴‍♀️
